New Delhi, December 2-7, 2014 — This year marks the remarkable presence of Bhagwad Gita for 5151 years. To grace this occasion, GIEO Gita (Global Inspiration & Enlightenment Organization of Bhagwad Gita) is organizing a week of celebrations across India and Abroad.
Shrimad Bhagwad Gita Week commences today, i.e. December 2, 2014 with a Bhoomi Pujan at Red Fort Grounds in Delhi with Shri Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS Chief does the honors.
The grand celebration on December 7 at Red Fort Grounds from 10AM to 2PM will include the largest ever exhibition on the Bhagwad Gita and its message featuring its hand written and several unpublished versions, various commentaries and research documents on the scripture from Mahatma Gandhi, Gopal Krishna Gokhle, Bal Gangadhar Tilak amongst others. From 2nd to 6th December, there will be Prabhat Pheries and Shobha Yatra in several parts of the country, Gita Pujan by 5151 families, pledging by 5151 young people to spread the message of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita across.
The idea is to spread the message that despite being written 5151 years ago, Bhagwad Gita is still alive in our hearts and souls. The intent behind the celebration of this event across the globe is to render in the minds of people the learnings from Shrimad Bhagwat Gita and an effort to serve as an inspiration of mankind across the globe, there is an awakened outlook of fulfilling responsibilities and all sorrows, miseries, griefs, depression, fear should cease from the very root and mankind must attain supreme bliss.
GIEO Gita founded in 2012 by H. H. Gita Manishi Mahamandaleshwar, Swami Shri Gyananandji Maharaj at an International level with the objective of spreading the message and explaining the viability and indispensability of Shrimad Bhagwat Gita in life today.
